CANCELLATION OF THE LAUNCH AND FIRST SCREENING OF OCTOBER 1967 MWANZA WAR VIDEO DOCUMENTARY

The general public is hereby informed that the official launch and first screening of the October 1967 Mwanza War Video Documentary which was scheduled to take place on 2nd February 2019 at the Underground Cinema at Chichiri Shopping Mall Complex  has been cancelled until further notice.

This is due to the heavy rains the past few days in Blantyre City which have caused heavy flooding at the premises of the venue necessitating indefinite closure of the venue from business with immediate effect.

Our organising team received a communication in the morning of the 30th December 2018 from the venue informing us that the venue is no longer in a conducive condition to host any activities including our event. Against this backdrop, we have been advised to shift our event to another venue.

Given that we are already in the middle of the Christmas festive holiday when we were just about to start rolling out TV and radio adverts for the event and open the collection for the free entry tickets at different outlets, it can only be after businesses resume on the 7th January 2019 when our team can start to explore alternative venues for the event in Blantyre, confirm the new date and re-work on the adverts and other necessary logistics .
